first of all to save the arguments i dont want any of that why dont you get a bigger engine rubbish iim 17 and have lead feet so all though my parents would buy me one with a bigger engine and insure it they dont want me to lose my license when i only currently have a provisional.
but can however afford the following mods if i don't declare themas jeep will still cover me as long as the mods arent found to blame for any faults and they wont cover the actual mods themselves.

secondly here are my ideas:

My current car

I have a Crossover Black 1.2 Active (£6,999 for a 57 reg pre-registered in February)

my plans are:

Exterior

• Full Rieger Tuning bodykit
• Roof spoiler
• Linea race front grill
• Black angel eye front lights
• Black led rear lights
• Limo black rear 3 windows
• Purple brake calipers

Performance (for sound rather than performance really)

• Full stainless steel exhaust system left and right exit type with 128x80mm squared of oval tips (e.g the ragazzon one on gazzella.com)
• GSR induction kit

Wheels

Either KEI kruze gloss black, Wolfrace pro lite polished and black, Konig runaway black, Enkei FN-18 gunmetal, Mak Volare black or OZ Anniversary black.

my favourites are the OZ anniversary, but opions please.

Interior

I want to go for a all black theme.

I would have black leather cobra daytona front seats and get the rest of the interior re trimmed by cobra to match.

Or get black cobra daytona seats and die rest of standard (blue) interior black.

• Blaupunkt Hamburg MP68
• Blaupunkt replacements for all speakers (possibly not sure yet)
• Blaupunkt active sub under the passenger seat (possibly not sure yet)
• Blue footwell neons/leds
• Blue interior light
• Engraved stailess steel sill plates
• Dye headliner black (it has a patch of nasty brown glue by the interior light. also its bloody beige)

You dont need 3 bloody threads.

And what are you on about not covering mods that dont cause faults? ITs not a warrenty ffs.

Mods need to be insured. If not then you are breaking the law and if you crash your insurance company can tell you to ******** as you are invalidating your policy.

also wait till you pass your test your a new driver and as such you need your wits about you a loud sound system will only distract you, Blacked out windows will make it harder to check your blind spots at night, Alloy wheels leave the steelies on for now the first thing you will probably do is curb it

Get some experience first

fair enough i suppose there is no point doing anything to it yet as i aint driving it.

and although i know largely its true i do hate this youve only just passed or your only 17 or you need experience first.

ok 17 to 20 males have the most crashes which is due to egging one another on, being so pleased about being able to drive or being plain reckless.

however most people over 20 ive come across are actually worse as they start to rely on their experience to much and not so much as common sense or what they are actually capable of.

i only have three posts as i change my mind over my plans and dont know how to close posts yet.

also i wont be doing anything to my hifi yet

definitely wait till you've passed your test and driven for atleast 6months.

I also think that the Grande Punto is a very difficult car to modify, because it already looks that good.

It's not like the case where with the basic old punto looked like a grannies shopping kart compared to the HGT. I look out of my window at the drive and my 1.2 active still wow's me with how good it looks.

Even imho the Abarth Punto looks like fiat are trying too hard when the car they've already designed doesnt need massive body kits and stupid alloys to turn heads.

Also, you'll probably find that within a year or probably less you'll want a quicker car. The 1.2 active lets face it, its pretty damn slow and motorway driving is not a easy task for it. Just bare in mind that a highly modified basic spec GP will be wont be worth much, and not many people will want to buy it from you either.

I'd say keep it subtle unlike this tosh:

Trust me it is very true i lost a mate a few years ago due to his mate being inexperienced.

and nearly lost another about 6 months ago similar thing just passed his test then lost control whilst fiddling with the Radio, hit 3 trees and rolled several times...

spend the money on Pass plus or even go for an IAM course it will be worth it as you will come out a better driver

i know exactly what you mean with the crashes etc but in my area i swear a 4 year old drives better than all the so called experience

and i will be doing pass plus and advanced driver test for the cheaper insurance if nothing else

also i am intending to run my punto into the ground as i tend to get to like what i have too much and although then i will be able to afford a better car i will still keep what i already have instead.

if that makes sense.

also if i ramble etc or appear to be rude i appologise its due to me being dyspraxic.

so a preemptive sorry.

No problem if your planning on keeping it for a good few years

get some Dynax and fill all the cavity's to keep the dreaded rust at bay (not saying fiats are bad (far from it) but if you keeping it its worth thinking about

Dress the brake pipes with it too (you'll be glad you did)

This guy is an idiot, spend the extra £500 on pass plus and AIM tests, you will find the experience and knowledge invaluable and you will easily make the money back on insurance in 2-3 years, i did.

Sorry to hear you are a Dyspraxia sufferer but doesnt that mean that driving can be a hazardous thing for you to do?

The last thing i will say about this is, its a 1.2 petrol, you cant polish a turd, you were GIVEN a 7 grand car, enjoy that, be grateful and stop being a priveliged little ****.

My last post on this subject cause its starting to blag now :bang:.... If you wanted that much to do on a car I think you should of bought a Corsa :yuck:, Nova :yuck: or a Saxo :yuck: and joined the chav crew and drive to your local McDonald's car park with your White Lightning Cider and have banging rave ... You could end up destroying an already great car... but anyway, thats me on the subject....

as barack obama said, you can put lipstick on a pig, and its stil a pig. get a bigger engined/nicer spec car with all this magical money that mummy is providing. personal opinion, just a big load of money you could put to good use.

Its your first car, isnt blistering quick and ull more than likely want to change it within a year of passing! As people have said the money is better spent on pass plus, etc...

But i do understand that the active looks :yuck: .....so would suggest nice set of wheels, exhaust and lower it possible and then a stereo and boom box if that is your thing!

Keep hold of your stand wheels/spring/stereo so if you do sell up you can revert them back and then either sell the parts or put then on the next car mummy buys you

also bear in mind that modded cars usually get less come re-sale time aswell!

Wow some of your are right bitter. Its not his fault his parents have done well enough to buy him a car so get off his back. If you were offered a brand new car off your parents you wouldnt turn it down would you?
