Hi there.

I'm about to start a new job, doing around 25k miles per year.

As i'm a teenager, I don't fancy a big barge. I like the GP but is the 1.9 JTd actually that economical?

Also, are the GP's comfy to sit in for hours? Are good deals on at the moment on the JTD sporting?

Thanks.

i get 50+mpg sensible driving and 40+kicking it.
Just drove to london and back and was compltely comfy the wole time, mind you try get leather seats :)

Don't think i'd buy brand new, the depreciation would be a killer.

I'm looking at an 07/57 plate one. I want the Bluetooth kit though :(

How much is leather as an optional extra? Any idea when Fiat will launch the 1.6 JTD?

£600 I think on a new buy, but if you opt for a low miles used 1.9 you wont be diappointed, I paid £9,500 for mine and I have done 34,000 miles (business and pleasure) in 18 months and not the slightest bit disappointed, always arrive at meetings ache free and fresh. Excellent value for money, quick and reliable enough (see Sig below ) and plenty fun when you put the clown hat on! (y)

Just noticed you're from Telford too! Did you find it locally? Has yours got leather?

One thing I am slightly worried about is all this turbo failing torque ;)

Impressive stats none the less!

Got mine from TJ Vickers at Donny mate, yep I'm in Telford, if you want to be a passenger to see what you think I should be able to do that for you.

Turbo failure... long discussions had on here about that subject, but Renault, Skoda, VW and BMW have had the same issue, not proved to be re-map related. possibly a duff batch of turbos. I drive my car sensibly and dont hammer / thrash it but I enjoy it. 34,000 miles and its fine still, on a 56 plate.

No leather just the black pimply seats but they are fine...

My Re-map stats are open to scrutiny by anyone that was there on the day too! (y)

So kind, Fiat should be paying you ffoxy!!!

p.s. you more than welcome to be a passenger in my car for as long as you like to stop that bloody rattle!!:p

Worth the remap then!

How did/do you find Vickers? Think I may have to pop down there.

They have been fine to me, only gripe is Dealer Servicing costs but that is pretty common with FIAT, so I use Delameres now and they follow the FIAT schedule and I have no complaints plus they charged me £200 less for my last major Service and used FIAT parts where required.

Keep your eyes peeled my GPS is New Orleans Blue with a silver "Toro" Bull on the LHS of the boot.

It'll be the one in front....

Just balancing things out mate, most Post on here to complain and moan cos thats the nature of a Forum, most only look at and Post in a Forum when they have problems, but I can honestly say I have no complaints. No rattles, no squeeks, everything works... Has to be said to be fair. :)
