Re: T- jet tuning

its 168 bhp before mapping. They cant map it yet that is where the problem is.

This is not quite correct. The problem we have is that one of the mapping tables is hidden very cleverly and the software crckers haven't found it yet. This table is an overriding one. But we are closing in on the culprit. The mapping is restricted.

A lot of people are hooked on the bhp figure. We are at the moment 10% above the peak torque qouted for the SS.

Hi!

Hello everybody! I'm new to this forum and just wanted to say hello and ask if you know of any firm in France (Paris area) doing the same remaps as above reported-firms in the UK.

I love my GP 1.3 mjt 90 cv very much, but I do think it lacke a lot of power in the lowest and highest rpms. Top speed is a bit, lets say...dull, and I would like to give it a bit more pep in general.

Any ideas?

P.S. the car only has about 3000 kms..

Thanks in advance

Olapinto

just a thought as i know these "remap/turbo" threads pop up everyday.. i know the M-jet can tuned quite easy to around 20ohp with map/induction & exhaust! But can the bravo 150m-jet turbo be fitted if so is there much to gain by upping the turbo or is there over parts that need uprating before considering exceeding that 200hp barrier?

anyone got a sports/performance clutch fitted yet?

I thought it was the same turbo but with just a different map on it.

really thats intresting...

The turbo on the 16v mjet units is different. Its an opposite fitment to the 8v

Can i just add to this if you have a petrol GP (ex Turbo) or the 1.9 diesel then if you are serious about tuning then try to visit the other bits of the forum

you may think your shiney GP is state of the art but the truth is a lot of the engines have been around in various forms for quite a few years now and a lot of the tuning points that people have acheived in other models in the past are just as relevent ;)

:yeahthat: couldn't agree more (y). Especially check the Cinq/Sei section for advice on turbo charging the F.I.R.E engine:-

1.2 8v, 1.4 8v, 1.4 16v "Starjet".

HI team I sit hear and read all about your desires to tune your cars well hears some information from down under (Sunny Australia) my name is Phil Buggee and I currently Race & Rally a Grande Punto Sport 1.9 JTD, we were the first diesel home in Targa Tasmania & fin Sec O/W in the Showroom 2WD class behind Alistair McCrea in a works Mazda MPS 3 Turbo rocket ship this year. rallyresults.com.au/targa2008/Showroom2WD

We also won the PTTC touring car championship for diesels in 2007 with this car ptcc.net.au

For those who are very keen to really get their Punto's not only to go in a straight line but going around corners & stopping I can supply hand made Turbo ex manifolds to fit Alfa 159 2.4 JTD turbo to your car, and all pluming to fit your cars, I can also supply fully adjustable front Coil over struts & rear adjustable spring kits and shockers all fully adjustable in the damp rates for your cars.

I am also making 330mm front rotors & 8 piston brake calipers kits that will fit under your standard 17" Fiat wheels.

All of these parts are what is available for the works rally cars etc... But are made down under and will cost you a lot less than you think.

What kind of torque and bhp figures is the rally car putting out?

Been looking at your site and you have 'heavy duty' diffs for sale, are these limited slip diffs or just built to take more torque?

Also, are you saying that the turbo fannymold from a 2.4jtd will fit the 1.9 8v engine? with little modification or alot? Price?

Also, what exhaust are you using? Custom or off the shelf? If its custom is just custom fabricated or are the diameters etc custom calculated for the flow?
