Ive had my dynamic sport 1.4 16v on order for about 8 weeks, and I still dont have a confirmed delivery date.I was told by the dealer the car had landed in the uk on 26.06, and it would be up to two weeks to get to them.(its now 06.07).
what is the standard delivery time for these cars?
should the delivery date be so vague, or is the dealer fobbing me off?

In comparison, prior to ordering the punto i had ordered a honda civic(had to back out due to financial constraints i.e. the wife.) On the day of ordering i was given an exact delivery date to pick the car up, 6 weeks later.
I have been quite disappointed with the fiat experience every bit of information Ive had to drag out of them, I appreciate that I deal with a dealer, but they are the face of fiat to me.
wont name the dealer at this stage but if things drag on............!:(

well my car arrived around a month early, before the date they gave me which was with an 'ish' anyway! I think it may just be because you are dealing with Italian ways of doing things! It also depends on options ordered, colour ordered, the model you have chosen etc and as your car is being built to order it may well be quite vague until you get a call to say its there

Hi,
I can't comment on your problem with delivery, but I purchased a pre registered GP 5 weeks ago and am still waiting for agreed work to be carried out on it.
I ring them everyday they never ring back and all I keep getting is that "we are waiting for a courtesy car to become available".
I can't help thinking if I was a paying customer then I would have the work done straight away.
The car great by the way no complaints there. Just waiting for a small deep scratch to be to be sorted.

your car it being a new model and all should take the maximum time????IE 3mnths but as people will tell its just a lottery.but what i can say the genuine fiat dealers can track the progress of anycar that is ordered by logging on to a special website even down to the day it arrives hear.i have seen it done with my own eyes(y)

it sounds like I'm just getting normal service then, thanks for your replies.

Girth was your car a special order? I ordered a new standard Sporting in New Orleans Blue on the 21/6 and was told there were 3 of them en route to the uk. I have been told yesterday it should be here in the next 7-10 days. Can't wait

What to do is book the car in for repair without stating its them that are paying. Then when you turn up give them the good news. If they can do someone elses work they can do yours.

Usher - you should have waited an extra 11 days and get it on a 57 plate! You'll loose a more than a neglible amount when it comes to trade-in time!

Nah, couldn't resist when I saw the new number has my actual initials VF07 (y)
