Thinks there pretty good meself, whatcha reckon?(y)

looks good,

what paint did you use?, kinda tempted to do mine now.

Used the caliper paint they sell in halfords.

Pretty impressive tbh. takes sometime as you really want 2 coats to smooth the calipers out so there not pitted.

Exactly the same red as the grande so well happy. I know red is a bit common but hell, it looks the nuts and suites the car oh so well.(y)

looks good mate, i painted mine a copper colour as i wanted something different, and used hammerite. i found on previous cars that the 'proper' stuff holds onto brake dust where as the hammerite doesn't and it can just be washed off. :)

all the same matey, looks great!

I've inspected Capt. Chaos' handywork and they look well smart. Certainly well worth the time and money. Definitely the first modification I'll be making to my Sporting when it arrives :)

calipers and arm rest.

firstly: im considering painting my calipers. this isnt a Q on how to do it etc, but rather one asking for advice.
as my car is a 1.4 active sport; my back wheels are DRUMS. therefore not having calipers.
what is the opinion on painting only the front?
attempting some form of paint job on the back drums,
or any other worthy suggestions? (any one in my position done it)?

another one is:

anyone know where decent armrest can be brought for the punto that dont cause longterm damage (ie: drilling) to the car?
i checked ebay but i didnt seem to find much.

thanks in advance.

Re: calipers and arm rest.

calliper painting & armrests have been talked about alot here, type in calliper & armrest in search box & you should find your answers(y)

(p.s. i'd spray drums same colour as callipers)

i just painted my drums black just to keep them looking clean not done the front didn't think it would look right in black somehow! i used hammerite only a 5er

Re: calipers and arm rest.

yeah. for the near future at least anyway.
im definatly looking to change them tho.

i just want some cheaper little mods to keep me occupied and make my car a bit diff to those around :)

Re: calipers and arm rest.

when i drop mine 40mm next month im going to do my front calipers blue and my rear drums black. (y)

(y) bang on imo... although i went for hammered copper hammerite as i wanted something subtle and different to all the reds blues greens and yellows etc etc etc

Re: calipers and arm rest.

paint both the drums and the front calipers, what colour you going for? what colour car you got?

looks good, how long they take you? i am going to do mine once i have bought some alloys, thinking of a blue colour or maybe yellow.

Re: calipers and arm rest.

yeah that would have been good for me to say also - my cars black.

i was looking at painting the front blue and rear black as you said - keeping in line with the punto badge on the rear.

i just hope that only painting the front and not the back doesnt look silly?
