![]() | what is really interesting outside of the power, is that even with all that weight stripped out (although obviously the rollcage and engine mods adds a bit back on), and it is an extreme weight strippage program it's been on, no dashboard even, polycarb windows...it'd be hard to make it much lighter without exotic materials replacing standard tbh but still weighs in at 940kg! that's only 40kg lighter than a fully kitted out road spec 90's punto gt! See, these cars after 2000... all fattys ![]()

Posts: 3,273 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Maybe so Mark... but I know which I would rather be in in an accident lol 940kg before weight loss or 940kg after weight loss lol This evening I got the front brakes bled and now have a nice solid pedal, slicks look to be in good shape, and now loaded back onto the trailer in preperation for a track to become vacant for a day/afternoon..... ![]() | ![]() Maybe so Mark... but I know which I would rather be in in an accident lol 940kg before weight loss or 940kg after weight loss lol my point is rather ruined by the fact i have a cinq, which is around 740kg (though that's less weight to disperse in an accident and smaller, so more likely to avoid/be avoided) and the only safety equipment it really has is the driver.. .but anyway

Posts: 3,273 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Been pricing bits for the next bump in power.... *whistles*.. this will be pricey lol, long term project tho.. Over the winter I will be swapping onto the spare engine, as it only has 35k on it, the engine coming out has had a hard life.. so it will be getting stripped and treated to forged pistons and con rods, and ADR head and cams from a N/A 1.8 vw/audi, stronger valves and springs and another turbo, looking to do this over a couple of years so im not noticing the hit so much financially. Im not sure what optuons there is in the way of fast road or race cams for it tho, will cross that bridge when I come to it, my mate who sold me the car reckons that once rebuilt it will be good for 450bhp, but im not sure how much of that is true... only one way to find out tho ![]() |
