i will have a cable...... one day :p

i'm wanting to get stuck back into the cinq again though, im just a bit tied up with paperwork and tyre issues for the bmw, my tail happy antics have taken their toll, i've got the outside shoulder balded on the drivers side rear already, waiting to hear back about new wheels with tyres though

but i need to take it off the road for a couple of days until paperwork comes through, im driving it untaxed atm, at least i know the anpr cameras wont be sending fines to me ;)

but so far all i have had to pay is roughly 100 for all the bits minus the supersprint and the gsr and since im not going for the gsr due to reputation then all im missing is the supersprint im not saying that its not a good price im just saying id like to do all of it myself instead of buying something that may be half assed work on the engine and just plunking it in the car

just for the record im not saying in anyway that your engine is half assed mate :D just mr cento will vouch for what i mean with his poor little cinq it was bodge after bodge on it and thats why its in the state its in today and why we are slowly getting it back to a proper working car again :D

ok hit a bit of a snag with the engine :D

turns out it was a 75 engine so i now have a spare 866 cam :D and a mpi throttle body and injectors :D

but we have managed to rebuild the engine and its 95% complete

but since ive got it what else would i need for the mpi conversion :D

ive got the p75 engine and everything basically to go with it including the manifold
ive been looking and from the place where i got some of my stuff i can get the ecu for the 75 and the entire wiring loom for pretty much cheap :)

so ming what you think what would i need ive got a rough idea but would like a double confirmation incase i miss anything :) as may go the 16v route if this all works out well enough next year

Use the SPI ECU, and just cut the wire for the injector and extend it to 4 injectors. It runs batch firing so it doesn't really matter :) . This is what Mariocinq done on FF.

Also the exhuast mani is a much better design than the SPI one. So defo go for it, is really just same as the S1242 SPi engine!

Ming

yeah but dont i need a different downpipe witht the different design of iT ??

also would i need the loom and ecu to make the 75 work as a 75 again think i read somewhere i need the fuel pump aswell as the sei doesnt do the correct bar pressure for it

No, use cento loom and cento ECU, then splice into the injector. (i think, may be ask mariocinq in ff)

The P75 mani is a big one off ****er, not like cento mani then down pipe.

So just cut off the cento cat then clamp it to the end of the P75 mani.

Ming

i dunno :) its a spare car so just playing with it :)
maybe use it for work

was just wondering since the manifold has the 2 holes instead of the one hole like the sei
cheers for asking mariocinq

we shall see what happens as that means striping the engine down and then waiting on a new downpipe and then hopin it will match up with the rest of the sei exhaust :D

but plus side timing belt has now arrived just waiting on the new clutch and thats that for the engine top end rebuild

Daz, you needing an MPI Alternator?? I've got a spare one, minus pulley wheel.

what do you mean what am i doing to the engine ??
new timing belts tensioner head gasket valve seals usual thing that should be done really and then plopping it in the sei hmm dunno if i will need the mpi alternator or not but cheers for the offer will keep it in mind :D

update timing belt kit and the new clutch kit is here :D so thats all apart from the water pump for a hopefully reliable engine again :)

you up for the fitting anytime soon mark :) get on to your headlamp and readjust that exhaust :D
