Hi, you will read all sorts of things here and of course people only tend to come here when something has gone wrong. Personally our 95PS unit in the Qubo has done over 90,000 now and I like it. An injector seal started a popping blow a while back, a good indy replaced the seal for £110. It has thrown an engine light 3 times, but self recovered whatever it was, between 60 to 75 thousand. I have self serviced, ever so easily, changing the oil at least every 10,000. Diesel filter, air filter occasionally. The timing chain is perfectly quiet, the indy noted, said leave it alone when he did the seal, it will likely never go with regular oil. It is one of the most common engines on the road, well looked after they seem to be OK. Have had no DPF or EGR issues, it is driven briskly with regular long runs, i hardly ever go over 3000 RPM. Also Multiecuscan is cost effective and brilliant for first line diagnostic work potentially saving you a fortune.

my qubo's done 165k, its had the timing chain done once but this was due to the ****ty little plastic chain guide breaking not the actual chain wearing for some reason.....apart from that and the bastard EGR valve issue nothing else has gone wrong with the old girls ticker (2008). Front suspension/joints issues on the other hand are a pain don le derriere.... :slayer:
