This will be our seventh event in the New Forest and we are starting our day off at the Green Dragon at Brook with coffee and getting aquainted, at approximately 10.00am. We are then setting off for a drive through the New Forest, led by Mark and Kirsty in the Team YellowLuigi 500 at approximately 10:30am.

We hope to be able to stop somewhere en route to take some photos subject to weather conditions on the day, before arriving at the Swan Inn, Lyndhurst, for a drink and a chat before having our lunch.

If you want to be certain of a reserved seat then please confirm your attendance (and any passengers) ASAP by Saturday 03/12/2011. Sorry for the short window but at this time of year it is crucial to book early to be sure of a table.

If you can't come for the whole event due to work or other social commitments you are welcome to be in at the beginning for coffee and a chat or catch up with us at the end (the good bit) for lunch.

Please don't forget to click the ADD ME tab at the top so that we have a confirmed number for making the lunch reservations!

Below is a link to the two pubs and Mark and Kirsty have worked hard to make the journey between them as scenic as possible so no excuses for not getting some great photos.

Previous attendees are already pinned and if you would like to be added just drop me a PM.

Looking forward to see you all there and although I am expecting the majority of cars to be 500s I would like to say that, as with any FIATFORUM event, everyone, regardless of model, can be assured a warm welcome.

If there are any questions feel free to ask here or in the relevant threads in the main forums and I shall be updating this thread with any significant additional information on a regular basis.

ps. If temperature below 7 degrees Celsius then all cars on winter tyres will be relegated to the rear of the convoy due to their superior stopping power, lol. :D

Well done peeps, for arranging the xmas meal, Caroline and I will see you there.

Hopefully without any snow !!

See you all soon (y)

Cheers Guys. (y)

One more thing which I could ask you to do please;

In the User Control Panel - under "Miscellaneous" you will find a tab titled "Edit Event Registration"

If you don't mind can I ask you to fill in the details there as it is nice to get the members car details and proper name ready for the meet and greet.

Cheers

Tony

This link should take you there > https://www.fiatforum.com/profile.php...ntregistration

Below is the current status of this event as posted in the 500 section here.

Because I am so selfless I forced myself and the wife to go to "The Swan" for lunch today, solely so that I could try out the Xmas menu and report back to those of you attending next week. It's a hard job but somebody has to do it and luckily you guys have me to carry out this sort of thing on your behalf, lol.:yum: :yum: :yum:

Anyway, I have attached the Xmas menu (attachment 1) below for your perusal and if you would like to order from this then I need to know what you require in the next couple of days as it needs to be pre-ordered. Those of you who want to go down this route just let me know and I'll list you on the Festive Booking Form (attachment 2) and fax it through to the Swan. I'll pay the deposits and sort that out with you on Sunday.

The normal comphrehensive a la carte menu, comprising of Sunday Roast, Steaks, Fish, Lasagne, Steak and Ale Pie, Shepherds Pie etc etc. is order on the day as per normal.

Hope you all appreciate my self sacrifice on your behalf. ;)

Please get back to me with your order by Wednesday 6.00pm if you want the Christmas grub only, no need to reply if choosing from the normal menu.

Just a heads up as to the current status for Sunday.

Alphacos - Chris and Jean
Booklady - Tracy and Pete
Engineering500 - Jason and Liz
Red Bubble - Elaine and Caroline
Sadgit - Rob and Julie
Yellowluigi - Kisrty and Mark
Grimwau - Tony and Liz

I expect you are all aware of the fact that Mel was hit from behind when she had to brake suddenly to avoid a stationary vehicle parked on a bend, (see post above). Her AGP is being repaired as we speak and if she has her received her courtesy car or can avail herself of another vehicle she is hoping to still make it on Sunday, so fingers and legs crossed.

There is an outside chance that we might be joined by Franda at the Green Dragon for coffee and if RUI is not otherwise engaged he will also try to make it.

Look forward to seeing you all on the day and hopefully the rain will hold off so we can get some photos so wrap up warm. (y)
