Sliding side door

I have a 2001 Ducato and the side door ain't closing up to the rubber seals leaving a small gap along the top edge. Is there anyway of adjusting the door so it fits a little more snugly when closed, thanks.

Re: Sliding side door

Apparently it's not easy. I think most people I've spoken to recommend a new door, but even then there's no guarantee.

Re: Sliding side door

A new door takes just as much if not more time to mount and adjust as it does to replace the rollers, catches and sockets and adjust.

First inspect the rollers you'll probably find some are worn or have lost their plastic outer.

You can buy the parts cheap on ebay e.g.

Re: Sliding side door

Even cheaper, remove the rubber seal and bend the flange that it mounts onto.

Use either an adjustable spanner to bend it, or your good friend, a big hammer.

The bodyshops do this all the time.

Re: Sliding side door

Thanks for the tips guys. Think I'll get some rollers before I get the hammer out ;-)
