General Sliding door upper lock

Hi Everyone, newbie
I have a1998 Ducato 2.8 JTD campervan, been searching for LH/ passenger side sliding door upper lock, ordered one it's for a RH, can't seem to find one after searching, the one I've got pivots the opposite way RH ,any ideas, few other issues but at a later date.

Hi Gary,

Welcome. Your vehicle is an x230 2.8idTD. The common rail 2.8jtd was only introduced in 2000.

The x230 was facelifted in 2002 to become the x244, which was manufactured until 2006, when the more different x250 was launched.
I think that the main changes from the x230 to the x244 at the rear, were the addition of plastic buffers on the doors. Wiring and front end were changed.

Perhaps extend your search to include the x244 parts? If you input your VIN number to ePER (electronic parts register) available at top of page, you should be able to get correct part number for your vehicle.
