No, everything requires more power to work smoothly. I still use an Acorn RPC 600 with the original CPU (think 486 SX 40 and you're there) and for its use it is just fine...custard boy said:they dont really slow down,just everything else gets faster

No, second hand only, yes... I only use my RPC to get data from way back that's not in a PC readable format.
