My front windscreen washes has stopped working. I think its and electrical fault because when you pull the lever back to squirt it you don't get the noise of it trying to get any water out like you used to do. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Check the motor connections on the motor...

Might have even burnt out (connect a mulltimeter to the connector with the pump disconnected and fire the switch off and look for a voltage)

Good use of the search engine, but it was 10 years ago!

Check the connections at the pump (often they'll corrode). Check for 12v across the terminals. Check fuse. If voltage but no result, ring Mick at eurocarcare.net.

haha well it usually takes me about 10 years to fix anything!

I took all the connectors off and cleaned them, they look pretty good and earth is connected.

Should i have 12V across the terminals when i press the switch?

I found that my stalks had broken, So at the moment, I just switched the switchs over, now running the front one from the rear switch. Until I change loom and stalks.

Yep.

Eventually after a really good clean of contacts, new spade connectors and some wiring replaced, it's fixed - seems they really do get corroded down there.

Get some silicone grease -- or even vaseline -- on them and they should stay good as new.
