Hello,

Wonder if anyone has had a similar problem or its just a common problem disguised as something else!

Basically whats happening is the right hand side indicators are flashing like a mad man, it appears the rear one is playing up. I have changed the bulb twice, checked the relay (its still ticking), changed the fuse and yet it behaves strangely.

When I start the car up, it usually survives a few "right turns" before it goes in to flash central. However whenever I remove the bulb and put it back in, its fine for a few more "right turns". Sometimes when indicating right it will go from normal to flashing quickly.

A few months ago it did it during the first and second right turn, but stopped after that. It was usually first thing in the morning it did this, and was fine all the other time. The left one is fine however.

So, could someone point me into what to check at this stage? Should I try replacing all the right indicator bulbs? Is it something a garage could look in to, and would it be pricey. Any help appreciated!

sounds as if u have moisture in the contact. Which indicator is it, the side repeater (on wing) of the main indicator at the front of the car/rear Anyhow, take the bulb out, check for corrosion on contacts and the wiring loom for any lose conectors, spary some good old WD40. I had the same problem last year, after washing mine, so i treated the connectors with some light silicon spray and allwas good or better still i was to lazy to do it, so I called the AA out to do it for me!

Hope this helps

Sam

thanks for that.

Wiped all the contacts yesterday and sprayed WD40 liberally and seemed to of worked (touch wood) this morning!

However it could of also been dodgy Halfords bulbs, the bayonet fittings (the tiny bits on the bottom) were not at equal 180 degree angles, hence they didnt go in as easily as the fog/brake light etc.
