Not exactly track essential but with the reflectors in the headlights being pants I'm being healthy and safe. ;)

Both reflector holders are brittle and only being held on by one or two of the lugs so new headlights are on my list. Even if I have to buy left hand drive ones and swap lenses over.

love the lights,i thought i was bad for it,usually got two sets on my cars for roads near me,it gets dark!

If anyone is wondering how to fit them without taking the bumper off I removed the number plate and used a hole cutter to make an opening big enough to get a socket and short extension up there. ;)

I am reconsidering the whole "Built vs Bought" idea.

Three reasons.

1/ It's pedantic.
2/ My Cinquecento is rarer than I thought and I'd feel guilty (a bit).
3/ My Cloverleaf is a perfect replacement for my Bravo.

See what I mean?

Good idea! I've got a set of spot lamps to go on my Sei and was wondering what the best way to do it is.

This is mine.... but it broke today, i think its the crank sensor... had the AA out it was showing an immobiliser fault but also no crank rpm when trying to start it, AA man brough me home and said to get a crank sensor tomorrow ... so might be back in action soon.. its a 1.2 8v Punto mk2,

Not much in the way of progress to report. The Cinquecento has done 1,007 miles since I bought the old girl and teething problems aside no further issues. :)

Those 1,007 have cost me £100 in petrol so far. Warming up on cold days, traffic and everything it still works out...

£100 / £1.19 (per liter) / 5.5 = 15.28 gallons

1,007 miles / 15.28 gallons = 65.9 mpg

Not bad eh?

Worth a celebratory meme. ;)

I've been doing the sums and it's not looking good.

Wheels - £220
Tyres - £180
Bucket seats - £150
Harnesses - £120
Polycabonate - £70
Tiger seal - £20
Suspension - £200
Brakes - £180
Parts from a Punto Sporting to do the conversion - £100
Idea 1368cc donor - £60

£1,300

:bang:

There are some seriously quick cars out there for less than that.

Oh and the £400 the car owes me making it a total of £1,700

I need to think again.

Yep. That sounds more like it. I was pretty drunk when I posted that.

Good news. Headlights are on their way and I have ordered a set of springs.

Bad news my Mk1 Sporting donor can not supply the parts I want unless I buy the whole engine and even then it won't come with the loom or ECU. :bang:

Stupid EU regulations.

Spring has sprung but I'm not lowering my Cinquecento today.

I took a before shot to see if the car would end up like my photoshopping yesterday.

Opened the box and...

Rule 2: Check the part before you take anything apart.

...the springs didn't look right. Sure enough the standard springs are two centimeters wider at the base and one coil less. So instead of being -40mm these would be +80mm if they could be fitted.

So as I had the car on ramps I got horny and fitted my Maserati dual tone. Now the Womlings will be in for a shock if they pull out in front or cut me up.
