Hi all.
I have been seeking a coolant leak and managed to eventually find it. Its coming out the Heater control valve behind the grill under the windscreen.
Any ideas how to remove the part? Could it be that the little rad has blocked with crap and the coolant is finding the easiest way out? Or is a leaky HCV a common problem?
Also, could I possibly just bypass the whole unit by joining the two pipes together? Would I need to disconnect or change anything else. This would be just until I can get it sorted and still use the car?

Yes you can bypass.
The heater box can be taken out much more easily than some cars... like fiat puntos!!! Where the whole dash and site bags have to be removed. Centos are much easier ☺

How easy is it resolve, bearing in mind I have a knackered back, dodgy legs & hands like a shovel
