Hi guys, ive got a 1.1 sporting with rag top roof and it was making a noise like something was tangled round, so something was up, then like a bubbling noise (might not have been)

so anyway drove her home and no alternator belt anymore so guessing it could be that, is there just one standard belt i can pick up from halfords? (they say they have one in stock for 2001 seicento 1.1) i recall reading about needing a different sized belt if you have air con

also what kind of tools are we looking at for the job?

I did read the guide but no pictures or that so if ive got it right, jack it up, remove drivers wheel and then go from there

much cheers for any help

Pretty much that, you'll need to get the arch liner off as well, then unbolt the slide bolt thingy on the alternator.

Easy peasy, make sure the car is on stands rather than left on the jack and put the wheel you remove under the car. Be safe!

thanks for the reply

what kind of tools are we talking here?

is there a different belt for air con model?
