Been a while since i was last on here but thought this would be the best place to ask.
I have been rebuilding the rear brakes on my little Cinq and found the near side rear brake back plate (say that when your drunk)
It has more holes in it than a Swiss cheese.
It seems to be held on with 2 allen bolts and 2 normal head bolts does anyone know what size the allen key i need is (not got the hub off so i'm not sure)
Also if anyone has a back plate going spare they want to sell or where is the best place to go for one (Fiat, scrappy, etc.)
I'll also need some new clips and pins to hold the shoes to the back plate the ones that were on it were rotten.
Once the rear brakes are re-built and a new handbrake cable is fitted i think she'll be ready for a new MOT

I'm in the same boat, holed near side back plate on an R plate with 74K.

Can't help you with the bolts sizes but the plates are £20 each from Fiat, if factors prices were half then I'd try them but for not much more the OE parts fit alot better.

Hi
You can get the springs and clips in a kit from halfords for about a fiver, both backplates on mine have been replaced cost about £16 plus vat from fiat

Thanks guys
looks like Fiat for the back plate and McHellfords for the clips and springs.
I noticed that the off side was fairly new but the near side is a right mess
what were the original back plates made of tin foil???

Dare I suggest a small typo there ^^^^^^

Think there should be one '6' and two 'm's

Cheers
