Hey

Well with taking my fuel lnes off they are pretty manky and old, i've been putting quite abit of thought into replacing them but there's plenty of things that i could of missed that any you might like to add (y)

for the main solids running under the car im going towards 8mm copper pipe like the brake lines as they will easily go into the standard clips

here's one problem that i was somewhat limited on ideas, i will have to flare the end of the copper pipe to keep it pretty secure with this i could go one of two ways the first being just slip and flexi over it and clamp down but i don't like the idea of that

the other was is to put a male connector on the end (like the brake unions) and have the corresponding connector onto the flexi which would be nice but harder to find the connectors for a 8mm, there is a female connector to go onto a braided flexi here which would do the job but pretty expensive as il need a few

the other items to consider would be the fuel line connector but Dan just chopped it off and stuck a clamp on it along with the connectors into the fuel pump as i haven't got my hand on a 3Bar pump yet, id shake your hand if you have read up to this point, im going off the standard pump with the plastic connectors which might fail or leak along with the electro valve connector which are really easy to break

Any knowledge you would like to put into this would be a great help

With you building the car slowly look at donald fiat, get a after market tank (external pump) mount it in the car, and use aerogrip "thnk that's what they called with braided hoses :)

Looks so much better, than ur exhaust would be really str !

yea ive had a look and id rather keep the fuel tank to keep the car somewhat practical:rolleyes:

Mocal do some really nice stuff but IMO its very expensive

well took hte step and butchered the fuel lines up for measurements, the ID (internal diameter) is 4mm and the ED (external diameter) is 6mm which is.....5/32 IIRC but that seems a bit small for fuel lines

and sorry rallycinq just seen you post

you WILL regret that. nothing at all good about removing the head liner...weighs naff all yet stops cold(at winter it will always feel cold) in sunlight it will be VERY hot,
and while driving it will sound like sitting inside of a drum

ive made bigger mistakes if it goes all pear-shaped il just get another, but i am also going without heating inside

other then that not alot of options connector side for this side

lol didn't you say practical :p? I'd rather have heating than back seat!

and youll never get passengers because they wont want frostbite.

When i did the reshell i drove the car for a few days to college (30mile round trip on motorway) without rooflining and heating it was horiffic. ended up using the motorbike instead as it was warmer and safer even in the rain.

windows constantly steam up, and the whole car was damp inside.

been doing more searching and found the main pipe connectors and flexi's last bit is just connecting them onto un-threaded items so either thread them or just chop and end of and clamp on :p

main piping and connectors (1/4" external or 6mm)

this is one of the flexi's should be usable for petrol, i will need soem different lengths that they sell

odds and sods that could be usefull

im not 100% sure on some flexi's as im doing away with the EVAP piping and adding a FPR to the main feed
