Hi there everyone

I have a seicento Sporting 1.1 2001 model that had the alternator replaced weeks before i purchased the car,The problems i am having is that the headlights are pulsing and the battery light keeps flashing and i have loss of power steering,the Alternator fitted seems to be a 60 amp alternator,Can anyone please tell me if this is the right amps for the car or has the wrong alternator been fitted? What output does the alternator give?

The sticker on the alternator says 60 amps thats all the information i can give,Wondered if its the wrong one and thats what might be affecting the power steering motor?

What voltage is it giving?

How is the engine earth lead?

pulsing lights can mean the diode in the alternator has gone

My MPI (2002 model) had a 60A fitted, was replaced with a 60A, it works fine and appears to be the correct one.

Thanks for the tip on the pulsing lights dave,I seem to get a clicking noise under the front passenger s side of the dash,i thought it may be a relay being affected by the alternator or the power steering motor? Satis
