Technical Is the water pump for the 899 engine rebuildable?

As far as I can see, the coolant pump for the Cinquecento 900 is exactly the same as the one used in the Fiat 127/Panda 903 engines. Back in the day those water pumps used to be repairable.

The pump in my car (1995 Cinquecento 900) even has a sort of lid with four screws at the back. I think I can find a Fiat 127 rebuild kit quite cheaply. What do you think?
