my little rant...

ive spent about £30 this month on dust caps, because the little (Bad Word) kids round by me love to nick them 4 there bikes.
got some free redline dust caps a month ago and they lasted a week, so because i thought they looked nice i went out and got some shiny 1's they didn't last a minute, got another pack... these went to.
i went out and bought some locking 1's and they managed to get them off!

a week ago found some nice ones with the abarth badge on them cost me £12 so and every nite ive been taking them off and putting them back on in the morning. came home and left the car for 5mins...
guess what... GONE

i think i know the group that are doing it and will snap each finger off if catch them again.

Get yourself a high capacity capacitor, charge it up hook it up to the dust caps (if they're metal) or the wheel. hide it in the wheel arch or something. That may work

Get one of those things... what are they called... ah... a baseball bat *ahem* + some new sh*tty, but shiney caps. Also some big-ass mates help. Then wait ---- take turns in looking out the window etc. Catch the bastards doing it and hurt them - lots - breking fingers is a good start - they can't nick 'em anymore then - ribs also a good idea - they can't do anything then!

rig up a camera to look at the car.... u can get cheap ones, all u would need is to catch them, at the end of the day theft is theft, an u might even get the others ones back if their parents find out where all those caps are comin from!!!

dont know if it'll make you feel better but the same thing happened to me.i was at work and watched them do it from the window, very flustrating grrrrr!

bout 4 years ago in my last year of high school i used to know ppl who had pocket's full of dustcaps and used to sell them at school. i saw them selling it and recognised a set of 4 of a friend of mines car, i rang him on his mobile he left work came to school picked up the kid by his coller and shook the sh*t out of him was so funny watchin a 16 yr old cry lets just say he didnt do it again when he threatend next time he wont have fingers to unscre them

alternatvly put heat activated super glue on them ! then they might get them off the car but not of there fingers !
