As the title suggests, does anyone know if there's a higher output alternator available that's a straight drop in on a sporting?
Alternatively, can anyone supply info on modifying the stock one to give higher output?

Dunno, but I can guess why you're asking this - what's in your system?

75amp Seicento with air-con
Hmmm, I'll price that up tomorrow(y)
but I can guess why you're asking this
:D
Pioneer HU
Pioneer 4 channel amp
Kenwood 2 way fronts
12" Pioneer TS series sub
Sony Xplod *cough* 6x9 *cough* shelf mounted rear:eek:
The 6x9s were in the car when I got it and the holes are far uglier than having a bit of noise in the back:eek:
I will get round to removing them and building some 2 or 3 hole speaker pods for the front doors when I get some time.
It's just that I'm always working on the hearse at the moment. I've booked space in a mates booth to paint it on Saturday so it's gotta be ready.:D

I don't think a new alt is needed. Do the big 3 and possibly a larger battery.

The big 3?
Where would a bigger battery go? cos it looks like the little tiny battery fills all of the space where it lives.
The headllights only dim on the drops when it's really cranked (45+ on the volume scale with D+B on)

I meant a larger battery as in spec and not necessarily in size ;)

Big 3 - replacing the following with larger gauge cable (IMO 4 awg minimum)
  • Alternator to chassis earth
  • Battery to chassis earth
  • Battery to alt wire
