now 1st of all to fit the gt discs you need a minimum of 14" alloys fitted.
even them some are too small.my minators were too small.

the difference in disc size is 240mm to 257mm however its caliper clearence thats the issue

nothing particulary hard in fitting.
basic tools including 11mm brake spanner,13mm & 17mm open ended spanner.
sockets and possibly a breaker bar to remove the caliper bolts.
this is also an ideal time to upgrade the flexi pipes to stainless steel goodridge type.

the gt discs are vented whereas cinq/sei ones are solid

you can source the calipers from other models including.
Marea 1.6 auto saloon (not manual)
Marea 1.6 estate
Marea 1.8, 1.9TD 100 & TD110 (not 2.4)
Tempra 2.0 petrol & TD
Bravo/a 1.8, 1.9TD 100
Tipo 2.0 8 valve
Punto GT
Alfa 155 1.8 8v or 1.8 16v (not 2L)
barchetta

be careful when ordering pads as there seems to be some issues with wrong info in the parts listings.
eg i had bendix calipers but they were made to the ATE pad spec
if possible get the info of the car year and model the calipers are off

now with a few people doing the upgrade it seems the later calipers seem the better option(circa 97) as they bleed 'better' and provide more pedal feel.
