Looking to do a major service myself within the next week or so... I've got 444miles left which I'll do by Tuesday/Wednesday... the car has almost reached 49,000 miles so service will come up as needed done on mile 49,423...

All the parts are ordered and was just wondering if I can reset the service light/warning? Anyone know if it's a OBD solution or just press a combination of buttons or what?

not tried this my self but here is something taken from this forum, link below

•Turn the ignition switch to the "On" position without starting the engine.

•2
Press the odometer reset button repeatedly until the total mileage is displayed.

•3
Turn the ignition switch to "Off."

•4
Press and hold the trip odometer reset button.

•5
Turn the ignition switch to "On." Do not start the engine.

•6
Release the trip odometer reset button after the service display counts down from 10 to 0 and the service light resets

Thats from the Punto section, and won't work on the Bravo (I doubt it does in the Punto either TBH).

OP you need MultiECUscan.net software to be able to do it yourself, its a good investment TBH.

Also if its the 1.6 or 2.0 Diesel then you MUST reset the oil degradtion index when you change the oil, as well as resetting the service reminder. They're different modes! Failing to do this can lead to costly DPF repairs being required at a later date.

I thought that and it was coming up the same technique for the bravo mk1... yeah done some more research and I think I'll need an ELM237... I have a Bluetooth OBD 2 thing that does everything bar the service reset...
So laptop and MultiECUScan?
It's the 1.4 150 t-jet cheers anyway.

Ah right, at least being a t-jet you've not got to worry about to oil degradtion index.

TBH being a petrol you could just leave it un-reset and it'll eventually go away, just won't remind when the next one is due (but people managed before service reminders :p).

Haha yeah... I've saw that all over the forum and I've been sitting in the car trying to figure out where it is! Then it clicked that it's diesel only! :banghead:

I heard if yu leave it 1000 odd miles it will disappear... but might put the ECU into a mode where it runs rich???
Plus it would annoy the hell out of me when I can see it and it constantly reminds me during start-up...

Just a quick question for you and anyone else reading this... is it the NGK IKR9F8 or the NGK IKR9J8? The one ending in J8 is the newer of the two but don't know if it's just been remodeled or that's for the multi-air versions... the manual does state the NGK IKR9F8 so I bought those but just in case anyone can give me an insight of the problem?
