hi all,
My Viano is in the garage for suspected headgasket failure , its been in there for a while and is likely to be for a while longer. So looking for a runabout to use until repaired. Always had Fiats so looking along those lines , a Bravo Multiair has caught my eye with 55K on the clock for around £1K has got quite bad lacquer peel which i can live with. The downside is it has no service history , i can get the cambelt done for £150 plus the belt & pump but knowing the potential issues with Multiair units wondering if this could be potential money pit. I havent driven it yet but will probably go and have a look at weekend - unless you guys tell me to avoid. The other one thats caught my eye is a MK2 panda 4x4 with relatively low mileage but has a whine coming from ( maybe) rear diff. Im aware whines can be misleading and could well be a bearing or even a mount. Any words of wisdom appreciated.
