Hello people,

I very rarely venture out of the classic Panda section and post anywhere else but I have a question regarding my Brava. Very dependable, nothing goes wrong and it starts on the button. I absolutely love it:):)

Now my problem is this.

I managed to tear the undertray of the engine down a mountain track in Scotland a few months ago. I tied the damage back up with zip ties.

But after catching it a few times on the security bollards in works car park, I finally manage to rip it all off the day before we move to a nice out of town office with at least 3 car park spaces each:(:(:( Tis in the boot now in a number of pieces.

Anyway, after the Scotland incident I phoned Fiat (Desira) enquiring about costs and they quoted a replacement at £250!!!!!!!!

Anyway Scrappy job it will now be, so what I need to know is are the undertrays all the same through the Brava/Bravo/Marea range??

Cheers

Vin

As my sig, Brava is a 2000 105 JTD.

To be honest I have currently got the same problem after i noticed one day it was not their. It must have dropped off.

Brindley Fiat quoted me the same as what they quoted you. All the scarppy's around here have not got a Bravo/a with the undertray on.

Don't take my word for this but i dont think one off the Marea will fit a standard Bravo/a because they share the bigger wings with the Bravo HGT. Not 100 percent sure about that so I would check it out first.

Their is a good Fiat Breakers in Birmingham called Fiat Base. They do mail order. I would give you the number for them but it is on my old phone. Might be worht getting onto Directory Enquirey's and give them a call.

Thanks for the reply fiat bravo. I didn't realise the wings differed on a marea, you learn something new and all that :)

You are right about scrappies as I went to my local one yesterday and there weren't any. Lots of Bravas Bravos and Mareas but all with engines out or front end damage, so no trays. There was half a one on a Spanish registered Bravo. An unusual sight, I wonder how it ended up dead in a Scunthorpe Scrapyard.:(

I will try your suggestion of Fiat Base, and also i have since been told of a specialist Fiat breakers in Essex called DA Motors, so a few options, so all is not lost.

Many Thanks

I've got a Brand New Undertray in storage, however it doesn't have the access panel for the oil filter. If your interested you can have it for a fraction of the price that Fiat want. Just make me an offer.

the undertray is the same on all bravo/a and marea models, however few models actually had it fitted, on the bravo only the hLX HGT models did.

mine is in pieces after it wouldn't come off so it was removed with force. i'll find one but it aint easy. scrapyard quote was £15-20 if removed myself, which is a bit steep but worth it as they keep the crap out your engine bay, especially in winter.
