Hi guys, whats the easiest way to get the engine out and in again?
me and a mate thought itll be best to drop the box on the floor and lift the engine out the top..As there is no room to get the box and engine out either side as they sit just under the inner wing..

So far i got everythin off bar the exhaust and inlet plenium..
Were gona crack on with it on monday and jack both front sides up,get driveshafts out,etc etc..Then once its ready to come out ill have to rent a crane.

Nearly there :)

personaly i would drop engine and sub frame down and lift car off..

last time i did a straight swap i undid the subframe and let it hang, gives enough room to get the engine and box out as one unit.

then fit the box to the new engine and put it back in :)

i thought some of yous would reply, cheers lads (y)

The above quoted was also an option of doing it.He's a mechanic and thats the first thing he said was drop the engine+box on the floor and lift the car over.(well its going to be on axle stands) But workin on my 5 pot fiat is new 2 him,but still knows what he's on about...good job someone does :D
It was me who suggested dropping the box and getting the engine out the top as i thought it would be easier

Oh and adrian,i think i might have to take rear bumper off tbh to get the car on the highest link on the axle stands (y)
