hey guys,

my mate has a nice 1.6 HLX but tonight its started running crappy.

its driving like there is no power with a bit of hesitation then at about 3.5k rpm it start to pickup, deffinatly not like it used to be.

i disconnected the MAF and it drove no different although it did idle a little odd and nearly stalled (normal i think IIRC)

does anyone have any ideas? he is going to try and get it on a diagnostics but wanted to check for any known issues, maybe an injector on the way out?

3.5k is where mine picks up. I need to replace the HT leads and mainly the Lambda sensor!!! < That could be the problem. But i will keep a eye on this thread for a answer :slayer:

mine did that when i got it read on the diagnostics it came back as map and knock sensor if its a mark 2 then those parts are dealers only.

I just replaced the HT leads on mine and it seems to pick up better. Still not amazing tho. Next Lambda sensor. Whats this about the knock sensor.....enlighten me :yum:

leads & plugs changed lately?
