Around a year ago i had a new JVC stereo installed, then a few months ago the cd player fell and in turn snapped the clips which where keeping the heater control unit in.

After taking the stereo facia and stereo out i realised that the stereo had not been connected anywhere internally. Ie - The front of the facia was the only thing holding it in place!

Now the weight of the stereo pushes on the heater control and eventually it pushes the pair of them out. Leaving me with an awuful looking dash.

Any ideas on how i could somehow sustain the weight of the cd player so it doesn't push down and pop out the heater controls?

What you need to do is dig out the old radio and unscrew the rubber bit on the end and fit it to the new radio.

The rubber bit should sit in the circle in the dash where the radio goes. It supports the weight of the radio and the cage keeps it place.

I had the same problem when i fitted mine. to replace the broken clips you need a whole new unit and its about £80.00 direct from Fiat so I just live with it. lol.
