This system has proved itself to be the most expensive sat nav system I have ever owned. By charging for new maps, new live services etc tomtom are cashing in every year. The unit has lasted just over a year (surprise surprise) and they want £105 to fix it. That's without even looking at it. Obviously costs £105 to replace with a bit of profit. £200+ for a new one from FIAT though. So a new unit with free maps for life and free live services from Garmin is less than £100. No contest. I will never buy tomtom again. Blue & Me is just an excuse to overcharge drivers year on year. Live services spent most of the time unavailable with the little wheel spinning for hours at a time too.

All built in sat navs are a rip off

That being said I wouldn't trust a Garmin unit with a bargepole given mine and family's experience with them either breaking or the maps being widely inaccurate
