So, after reading a discussion on wheel spacers (and, at the time, thoroughly disagreeing with their use! :)), I've decided that maybe I could use some.

It's purely for looks, as I am running standard Naxos alloys and they fit quite well. However the do sit quite far inside the body, and I was hoping to push them out about 15-20mm at either side (I'll measure before ordering).

So, can anyone tell me some recommended brands, link me to a good shop, or give me any words of advice? Also, will the affect the feel of the drive? I'll be spacing front and rear equally.

Tony

there are a lot of brands...M&R... i bought second hand OMP spacers. you can found new ones for 100€... also you will need longer bolts and rings for cetring.

here are piccies with 2cm spacers, but i replace them with 1.5 and now is fine.

Is it not possible to do 15mm front and rear? And I'm assuming your sizes are per wheel, so total widening is 30mm per axel?

Thanks for the help!

I guess you could , but on the standard setup of the B, their is a 5mm spacer to the rear only which lines up the 32offset rims front and rear correctly.

When you want to widen the track again, the 5mm will not be used so basicly yr just widening the track by another 10mm each side to the rear.

10mm on the front would keep the wheels in line. Unless you go for a 20mm spacer each side to the rear and then was to use a 15mm to the front.
It really depends on what offset yr wheels are.

My wheels have an offset of 38 which mean they sit further in than a 32

I haved used the H&R 12mm hubcentric spacers on the rear. total widening of 24mm to the axle. this in effect brings the wheels correct to the outer arch as they were as standard.

I,ve not added any to the front as my wheels are actually 7inch wide and sit fine within the arch, but could add another 5-10mm widening should i want to.

Hope this helps..

Hmm, I'm struggling to understand this. So as standard, my rear wheels already have 5mm spacers on each side? And I need to remove them in order to fir new spacers? I've had the wheels of plenty of times and never noticed spacers

No worrys,

Just been there before:D.. I was in yr shoes a couple years back, Others from this forum have helped me loads too.

Ive learnt and discovered lots about the B in the last few years just by reading up and obviously moddifying her.

Glad to help. (y)
