Just can't afford the insurance.

They told me it would go down by a few hundred pounds for my second year but it hasn't. Gonna have to get something with cheaper insurance.

Do you reckon autotrader is my best bet? Or if anyone here knows someone who is looking...?

Really upset, love the car and have only had it one year... waited 5 years to be able to afford the riviera!

where have you looked for quotes?

chriss knott in the main but also zurich and the other ones suggested.

in fairness chris knott are blowing everyone else out the water by a country mile so it doesn't look good.

I was able to insure the B as a classic car with http://www.rhclassicinsurance.co.uk/

Can set mileage limit low (this helps) and breakdown cover is included.

Other last resort if you do low miles is to find one of the companies that do a 'per mile' insurance - they put GPS in your car and you only pay for what you use.

Good luck.

Be carefull with classic policies as you will not gain any no claims when insured through them, so if you get two years of classic cover in a row you will no longer have any no claims discount.

Rich try all of the online sites confused.com, swift cover etc as I have always had great bargains, even the 5lt V12 BMW was £194 for the year.
