You could try fitting higher rated bulbs but HID's are really the way to go. I live in the middle of nowhere..central Ireland with terrible roads. I've got HID's in side lights and 100W main beams,,and the bulbs are fine, no plastic melting or buned out wires ..yet!

All the roads here are lit, so with a normal car with normal lights there are no problems seeing the road - it's only with the little boat with its marvellous lights that I have no sense of what's going on in front of me. (I know what's on my right hand side though: The ditch ![]() ![]() Osrams like these?

Ahh huh..prepared to pamper the car, tune the car, and probably (having seen some of the roads in Norway) go faster off the edge of a cliff into the abyss...would have thought HID's were a damn good investment on simple safety grounds.

![]() | Re: steamy headlights and fixes? You can afford them as the are only £45 and they are easy to fit, in fact they would be even easier to fit without a front bumper so get the Polish geezers to do it!! ![]()

![]() | Re: steamy headlights and fixes? £45 including shipping......... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HID-XENON-CONV...QQcmdZViewItem And stop worrying about the MOT, if it does fail the way the kit is installed you simply unplug the kit, replace the HID bulb with a stock bulb (5 min job) then swap them back over once you pass the test!

Posts: 1,937 Thanks: 16 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Re: steamy headlights and fixes? I'll have to think about it... money's really my biggest issue; I'm looking to spend £3000-ish to get the B back on the road. £45 isn't much compared to that, but it's still money I haven't got. I'll be pondering it, but most likely I'll pass - even if it would make sense to have it installed now what with the front bumper coming off and the head lights coming out. Hm... ![]()
