I've not fully/carefully followed this thread as I have not tried to use Eco Drive functions.
However it is my understanding that the car only monitors/logs data for ECO Drive when in Auto Mode. Sports and Traction/Traction Plus drive modes do no supply data to the ECO Drive data logging system.
I think this is yet another poor design and poor user documentation issue etc. Smacks of cheaply designed, programmed and documented "gizmos" to add "glitz" and possibly suck more customers in. "Keeping Up With The Joneses" (read other manufacturers).
Not wanting to upset anybody but I think the ECO Drive type monitoring is a completely half baked system. Lacking specific technical information (typical of Fiat and others) does the system take into account inclines, heights climbed/descended and opposing/trailing wind speed? I do not think it does but could be wrong.
As a driver I know increased speed = increased drag = increase power required = more fuel burned for a given rate. This is supported by my right foot feedback.
Maybe I'm a little unique but my right foot also tells me when the car may be struggling and requires a lower gear.
For me accurate long term manual logs of mileage, fuel used, towing, not towing, and other personal information (e.g. I know last week I was driving aggressively) allows me to establish a personally acceptable driving style not dictated by some ECO Drive program who's detailed technical measurement parameters/algorithms) are not disclosed to us.
Flame me now but I will support you in that:
1) Whatever the system or its values is it should work
2) Knowing how you are being measured and against what criteria should be disclosed to you in detail
3) When it does not work then Fiat Customer Care / CIAO should be able jump on and solve your issues on the spot
Hmmmm
