I can not get Eco Drive to work no matter what I do. I've tried setting it to USB and Cloud in settings but it never downloads anything nor does it update when I'm driving. I've downloaded the App and I've formatted my USB stick but still no joy.

Any suggestions on how to get it working greatly appreciated, thanks.

That one had me puzzled for a while. When everything else failed I set it to Cloud and left it. After the NEXT journey the Eco data was available on the uConnect unit and my phone, however it is deeply unimpressive. The multi-coloured icon at top of screen is probably more useful

Thanks Alan, I've tried it on USB and Cloud but it doesn't work, the coloured tree never updates nor do the info' bars, I'm totally at a loss.

At the risk of stating the obvious, have you created a uConnect Live account? Once you have done that and selected Cloud it should just work.

Thanks gents, I have created a Uconnect live account and everything except the ecoDrive works fine. I realise it's not much use but I simply like things to work.

Does EcoDrive store any info on the App on your phone?

I've not fully/carefully followed this thread as I have not tried to use Eco Drive functions.

However it is my understanding that the car only monitors/logs data for ECO Drive when in Auto Mode. Sports and Traction/Traction Plus drive modes do no supply data to the ECO Drive data logging system.

I think this is yet another poor design and poor user documentation issue etc. Smacks of cheaply designed, programmed and documented "gizmos" to add "glitz" and possibly suck more customers in. "Keeping Up With The Joneses" (read other manufacturers).

Not wanting to upset anybody but I think the ECO Drive type monitoring is a completely half baked system. Lacking specific technical information (typical of Fiat and others) does the system take into account inclines, heights climbed/descended and opposing/trailing wind speed? I do not think it does but could be wrong.

As a driver I know increased speed = increased drag = increase power required = more fuel burned for a given rate. This is supported by my right foot feedback.

Maybe I'm a little unique but my right foot also tells me when the car may be struggling and requires a lower gear.

For me accurate long term manual logs of mileage, fuel used, towing, not towing, and other personal information (e.g. I know last week I was driving aggressively) allows me to establish a personally acceptable driving style not dictated by some ECO Drive program who's detailed technical measurement parameters/algorithms) are not disclosed to us.

Flame me now but I will support you in that:

1) Whatever the system or its values is it should work
2) Knowing how you are being measured and against what criteria should be disclosed to you in detail
3) When it does not work then Fiat Customer Care / CIAO should be able jump on and solve your issues on the spot

Hmmmm

It doesn't seem to save anything anywhere.

Last try

In the App on your phone you should have a screen like this

If you click on Eco Drive you should find some data there (IF you have selected Cloud for storage) It should resemble this

Thanks Alan, I really appreciate your help, unfortunately I get the message that no information has been uploaded for this vehicle.

I used to get that message until I selected Cloud as the Storage option. It also fails to log my data if I don't have the App active on my phone and/or the App active on the uConnect unit, and Bluetooth on of course. I'm with you, if it's an option it ought to work but it really isn't that useful.

I have the same problem on Jeep Renegate. eco:drive won't sync with cloud.
car:drive sync every time with no problem
