Hi all

Picked our new 500L up today. It's been a heck of a wait but well worth it. Not seen another in the Jazz Tirqouise yet. Think the delay was the change to the 5" Uconnect cd As it now has the Live Apps.

Very chuffed indeed. It's much better than our previous trekking. Much softer more comfortable seats, better suspension MUCH MUCH quieter 95bhp MulltuiJet too.

Oooh, you lucky thing! Ours is due next month and is also jazz turquoise!

Is that pop star spec you've gone for? Any extras?

Is that a 500X behind it? What are your thoughts comparing the two?

Great to hear you like it more than the Trekking. We were a bit tempted to spend the extra on one ourselves, but didn't like the interior colour choices and never use the traction+ on our Panda so seemed a bit pointless.

Oooh, how long did it take from order to pickup? Been 5 weeks here so far lol.

Hi

Yes it's Pop Star spec but we've had the climate control, auto wipers / lights and City Brake Control.

We can't believe the difference between our 63 plate Dualogic Trekking and this car. I knew that there was a difference in comfort having already driven them back to back but my other half insisted on the Trekking. However the Dualogis gearbox was ****e with the 85bhp diesel. It would continually change down and would rev outside the torque band so was gutless and noisy. This is a revelation. Fiat has MASSIVELY improved the 500L and I actually think it drives nicer than my 1.6 petrol X (but don't tell the X drivers or I might get linched! Lol)

It took nearly 4 months to arrive but we knew we'd opted for a new colour and I was aware that the Uconnect was changing to the Live unit with Apps so we accepted the delay.

It was well worth the wait. Love it.

I'm really happy to hear you like it more than the X. We were initially going to buy one but ended up much preferring the L on our test drive. We've gone for the petrol on the L though, so it might be quite similar to the X in that respect.

We've gone for lounge trim and added the electric sunroof, diamond cut wheels and third headrest. Dealer just called a few moments ago to say ours is on a boat headed this way! Going to sign paperwork next weekend and there's a chance the car may be ready before the easter holiday. So exciting!

If you happen to take any more photos, I'd love to see them. :)

I'm sure I've just heard on the news something about a boat loaded with cars has just been sunk

Diamond cut wheels, are they the white? Buggers to keep clean. I always moan at my wife for choosing those lol

 You nearly gave me a heart attack! :D

Nope, we've gone for the black diamond cut wheels. There's nothing else white on the car so doubt that would be a good look lol.

Are you finding yours durable, aside from getting dirty easily? I've heard a few things about them being a bit delicate.

Great pics PandaLounge! Lovely that you could see it in the showroom, looks nice and shiny. When we collected our Panda, it was sat outside.

I'm really happy we went for the jazz turquoise too, I think it looks very striking and suits the style of the car.
