Well I've looked at the 500L a couple of times now. Now that the 1.6 Multijet is available then it could be a candidate for towing (400kg unbraked, 1300kg braked).
The one big issue I have is that I need my seat to be high and for me all steering column height postions and in/out positions (I'm only 5ft 10in by the way) the top of the steering wheel obscures the speed for those critical speeds of 30, 40, 50,60 and 70.
Now I know all Fiat like to be drive fast so being able to clearly see 90mph and above is in keeping with their purpose, BUT sadly the lower end is where you can easily clock up speeding tickets and not being able to clearly see the speedo is an issue (for me at least).
The other observation I saw today was the location of the brake/clutch fluid resevoir. It is located under the lower windscreen/upper bonnet scuttle so is diifult to access to unscrew the cap and impossible to top-up unless you either remove the scuttle (and take the wipres off) of use a flexible hose feed.
This latter observation makes me wonder if it is a deliberate design feature so 90% plus of the public have to visit their Fiat dealer to get the fluid topped up?
