Technical Flashing mileage/No Blue Me after new battery

Hi,

Thanks John20+.

Jackwhoo just to clarify as Hacky is sulking saying I am ruining his reputation, he did switch the ignition OFF apparently before reconnecting battery....my misunderstanding how I wrote it up. He just did not remove the key from the ignition barrel on the steering so when the battery was reconnected the door locks operated and closed the doors. The reason I mentioned it was not everyone has two sets of keys so just warning in case anyone tries this as a fix.

Oh dear , sorry Hacky . I did read post as key in ingnition , ignition off.

That is still not to be done with Honda's as that corrupts the imobiliser. I can't remember if it just makes the key in the ignition at time of battery reconnection unusable or all keys requiring recovery to a honda dealer...eeeek
It is safer with all makes not to have key anywhere near car interior when reconnecting battery.

Great reminders why key/s shouldn't be in car when reconnecting battery and open window. Thank you.
