Hi I have a new 1.2 fiat 500 sport When letting off throttle slowly in traffic and when car is moving forward by itself in first and second gear the car bounces forwards and backwards but isn't making any noises suggesting it's stalling and so I have to keep pressing the clutch in is this normal in fiats or is there something up with mine, thanks.

I think I know what you mean, ours(09 86k ) typically when warm but after a period of parked can buck on very light throttle the first few hundred meters( 1st or 2nd ) or just lifting off, dipping the clutch and letting back out again stops it.
Not sure what it is and doesn't do it very often but enough for me to think its similar?

When I first got my 1.2 (2012) it felt like it was powered by kangaroo juice, it used to jump and buck so much. I put it down to me not being used to driving a small engine with a light clutch and got used to it after a couple of weeks to the point where I now pull away or pull up smoothly every time. So, in my case, it was down to user error..

I think the biting point of the clutch takes some getting used to. If you try too hard to be smooth it doesn’t like it. Try less and it can be surprisingly smooth and easy to pull away.
