Small observation, have you removed the air intake pipe from the air box that should poke through the front face?

Yes. Made access to the rad. elec. connectors easier.
Also an earlier post on here highlighted the issue with the holding bolt. Captive nut required cutting out.

The 1.2 has a neater intake but round fitting to airbox. Looking at a silicone pipe 80mm to ? reducer to replace. Hole to cool air is about 45mm but need more thoughts.

Looks like the outlet manifold is different. Think the 1.2 have a sensor in the top of the manifold and mine (the car) is at the side?

Found a new shield cost about £80 plus delivery . So ordered the repair kit and got some exhaust repair tape in my garage. Thanks Terry for the idea.

"Cat cover" and "cat protection" are sometimes used in description instead of heat shield if anyone's interested .
