Hi,
Last month I bought a used 500 model of 2011 0.9lt 85hp.auto.
It is a right-hand model, originally purchased in the Uk and imported to Cyprus 2 years ago.
It has a manual but there are a few things that aren't included, like the front lights washers or the high adjustment of the xenon lights.
What I am trying to find here is what version I have so I am attaching some photos.
Thank you for your answers!
S

They appear to be Xenon to me.

The washers are built into the chrome tabs on the lenses (at 4 o clock on the offside and 8 o clock on the near)

Xenons should be self leveling, there's a sensor on the suspension to detect the ride height and will lower the beams if you are heavily loaded, though they are adjusters on the back of the units like all headlights, but these really need to be set with the appropriate equipment.

The standard halogen headlights do have an adjuster within the car so you can lower the beam manually if you are loaded up, you might be confusing this function when reading the manual.

I also seem to think the washers should act automatically if you hold the windscreen washers on for 3 seconds with the headlights turned on.

Thank you for this!
Yes I found out how they work the only problem is that one of them doesn't return to its position after washing, only manually.I will try with W40 from inside as it didn't work form the exterior

Since when did 2011 cars have washers or xenons?

Wasn't it a optional extra?@ about £600
That's why when looking for lower control arms even for very early cars they often say "not suitable for cars with HID/Xenon " as the arm has a mounting point for the auto levelling sensor on cars with them, not present on standard arms.

Oh really, never knew that. Live and learn.

What’s the Achilles heel on the air con? Can somebody explain [emoji23] I’m looking at cars right now and air con is a must

Cars with automatic climate control, not manual knobs, "can" suffer a fault where the blend door breaks(temperature control ), originally it was a huge job to fix including taking both doors off! I believe there is a fix now but could still be a concern.

Mmmmm ok thank you I’ll bear that in mind when looking ....at least I can ask the question about that ... though I’m learning fast and already know more than most sales associates [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
