Hi All.

I have been trying to resolve a problem with my new (second hand 2013) FIAT 500 and specifically an inability to get radio channels. After doing soem research I decided to remove the aerial base and take a look at the circuit board, I know these can corrode if water get's into them.

Sure enough, after stripping down the aerial base the circuit board was shown to be in an awful state. It had evidence of salt corrosion and I could see rust on some of the components.

It looks like to standard response to this is to purchase a new aerial base - but I am struggling to find one that isn't silly money and I am wary of second hand ones because there's no guarantee that it won't be in the same condition.

I see that the aerial for the Abarth model looks identical, but it carries a different part number. The base and, more importantly, the connector look identical. The part number on my aerial base is
51906375-CN but the part number of the Abarh aerial is 50540987.

Does anyone know if the Abarth aerial will fit (and work) on the FIAT 500 Lounge 2013 model?

Thanks in advance for any assistance, it's greatly appreciated.

Looks like I'm answering my own question here. I just found the aerial base on "shop4parts" displaying both the standard Fiat500 and Abarth variant part numbers along side each other, suggesting that they are interchangeable. The connectors are identical.
