Technical Urgent! Airbag light on without errors

A generic non specific scan tool "wont" show any faults as they cannot read them though it should say unable to communicate you need the correct gear.
In fact yesterday i tested with a common scan tool but one that is able to access to all ECUs (airbag, ABS, engine...). I mean "common" because i don't recognise the brand.
But the two tests i made before were made at Midas and VeuFert with BOSCH scan tool and no errors reported.

Hi,
Common scan tools and the Bosh will identify the presence of the airbag ECU and even report major fault codes but they do not have the diagnostic capability of Multiecuscan. For instance MES will tell you the resstance of all the airbag squibs (might depend on the model of ECU in your car). Another thing is the light being on might be due to the circuit that turns it on. This is in the instrument cluster. MES allows you to turn the instrument cluster warning lights on and off independently of the ECU.
The problem might be a communication issue between ECUs, A process called Proxi-Alignment cn often sort this out and MES does this. Download the free version of MES and have a play in simulation mode. You don't need an interface or connection to a car, just select the System/ECU and click on Simulate instead of Connect.

And MES will tell you exactly which airbag/seatbelt/pre tensioner is the problem.

I checked cables at airbag ecu, even disconnected them to check errors: computer says something like "failure no carb" and the seat belt lights on. Plug in all, the problem remains.

I never hear about it. But I had once a problem with boot wires. Is related?

Yes, it’s a well known issue here in the forum and causes different errors due to short circuit of the wires due insulation rupture.
This could cause also airbag messages as I already have seen on my 500.
In between I replaced the faulty wires by an repair kit available for.

@XicoZe

The boot wiring issue is the body work cutting into the wiring loom where it comes through the body work. See https://www.fiatforum.com/500/416043-dreaded-boot-wiring-issue.html?416043=#post3998722 for example.
This normally gives multiple issues though.

Please don't start multiple treads on the same issue, it really doesn't help.
You really need to either get Multiecuscan diagnostics on the car aand come back here with some results or take it to a Fiat main dealer. Without you running MES on the car all anyone can do remotely is guess at the fault. This is no better than the Bosch service changing parts.

Where can I buy that kit?

See item number 123394538212 on eBay, expensive but better quality wires than OEM for flexibility. There is a partial loom on eBay for £15 but that will prob go same way in a few years or less!

Why buy the kit without checking the wiring is actually damaged?

If you are keen to spend your money.. then spend it on MultiECUScan ;)

Because a had this issue in the past and I repaired simply by soldering the wire. I suspect this could be wrong very soon.

Simply soldering the wires won't provide a long term fix.

It's necessary to replace the critical section of the wiring with a type of cable that can cope with the repeated flexing caused by opening and closing the hatch.

In your situation, I'd ensure all is well with the hatch wiring before proceeding further.

Remember to disconnect the battery before attempting to inspect the wiring or you could cause further damage to the car's electronic modules.

Running any kind of diagnostics on a car with a hard loom fault may give unpredictable results and could even result in further damage.

So far, light is still ON.
I checked the connectors under the seats.
Bought ELM cables and i'm still searching for Multiecuscan.
Any other suggestion?

Found U0019 error not active. Clear it desapear but red light of airbag is always on. After a few minutes the error appears.
