That’s really weird but I would still expect how the door shuts to be the culprit.

I think the boot would be wet too bu it’s worth checking the two seals. One is a long rectangle with flaps and the other is a small round top and square bottom. Move the boot carpet away from behind the bumper and you will see them.
Ahhhh it’s unlikely to be that then if the boot would expect to be we also, I’ll have a check tomorrow in the rear again.
Can’t believe I got rid of a perfectly good 2008 500 for this one that I have had nowt but issues with :-(
I’m sure it’s something easily fixed albeit a nightmare to find out what is the cause. My money is still on the door or a door seal.
I’m not overly confident it can be that. There is just too much water inside and using the watering can and hose the other day wouldn’t equate to that much water unless it’s been like it whole life of 2 and half years [emoji50]
When I had that problem it filled up the recess in the door card within about an hour.
As promised I said I would get back - went to a lnother fiat mai dealer and they confirmed by the damage and tell tail points that the car had been involved in some sort of accident and a badly done repair!! :-o and there was nothing they could do unless it went to the body shop at an expense to me or the other dealer!!
Any how I got back to the other dealer and I am no longer the owner of the car and got my full money back!!
Shocking !!!!
What a good result in the end, now you'll just need to find another car?

Still can’t get over it tho, be interesting to see what they do with the car now.
...but sadly not surprising.
Thanks for coming back to us.
As you know, I had my suspicions all along that it might turn out to be something like this.
Sadly the absence of any kind of recorded accident history is no proof that a car hasn't been involved in a significant accident and badly repaired.
A good result for you, though - and good also to hear that the supplying dealer has done the right thing.
Did they say where it was getting in?
Hi have you checked in the boot footwell where tyre is if there is water in there. I had same problem if you open boot and on the drivers side where the roof bends over to join the boot pillar there's a seam at top that leaks ( spray with water to check it, it runs down inside of boot Pillar into bottom of boot and down side of boot under back seat into drivers side rear footwell
