I have had my 1.3 mjd sport from new and am just about to clock up 260 000 miles just wondered if anyone else has got a higher mileage 500?

I thought the 72k on mine was high :O

That's 420,000km

It would take me another 135 years to get to that milage

I'd be interested to hear what work has been carried out over that mileage, both routine & unexpected.


That's some serious mileage for a tiny car, I thought my Polo 1.4TDi was high mileage at 146k miles.

I wonder how old the car is? Would also like to know what's been changed.

I hope you've had the timing chain done, the 1.3 is a proper little tractor engine if looked after well it just keeps going and going

yes do tell us what has been changed! Will be an interesting read I am at a paltry 74k miles.

That's incredible - looks like you drew an ace there - my Fiat Ulysse had 230,000 miles on it when I sold it and drove like new but the car itself looked like it had been rolled down a hill, it was a bin! What's your bodywork like at that mileage???

My 1.3 mjt had 120k when I sold it and the turbo was fine, the turbo is tiny on these engines and does tend to last as it's never under a great deal of stress

Body work comes down to how the cars' been treated and cared for more than mileage. If you start treating your old car like an old car because it's an old car it will start to look like an old car.

Actually I look after all my cars and my Ulysse was at 215k when I bought it in the state it was in, but thanks for the useful and constructive advice - there may even be someone on the forum who might need it, you never know.

I think it would be intresting if you film your car, so we can see in what shape it is. That is really big miles. I am on 200000km with my punto. But that is nothing compare to you.

Wow, mine is barely 90000km on the 1.4 and i was thinking its a lot for this year.

nope i have 120,000 on the 2010. by the way liav, my gearbox warranty is expiring, so I made Fiat dealer check the systems with diagnostic check and oil level to see all is ok for free. Make sure you do the same before warranty expires!
