A couple of days ago i noticed a rumbling/grinding noise coming from my car it sounded like the passenger front side or possibly underneath, when i was rolling in second and breaking. I put it down to the cold weather as my car sits outside all day whilst i am at work and doesnt get used until i go home.

That evening it was making it again as i was rolling in second gear approaching some traffic lights, the noise sounded like, (if my tyre had popped) the wheel was scraping on the floor, but not really loud, i had to turn my music off completely to hear it.

Today it has been making some noises again, if i break slowly from quite a distance i dont hear it, but if i break a bit quicker i hear some grinding/crunching noise (i know what ABS feels like, and it isnt this kicking in).

I also heard it when i breaked, changed gear into second to slow me down and rolled.

The noises arent very loud, but loud enough to make me worry.

There is nothing hanging from under my car also.

hi,
if you don't do many miles a day..,
it could well be a build-up of rust on your braking surfaces.. this normally gets scrubbed off after a couple of stops - from say 30 MPH,

have a peek at the brake disc through the front wheel..it is REALLY shiny..??,
or a red-rusty colour?,

my car does similar ( damp / WET weather doesn't help) with a light layer of rust after being parked-up.

Probably needs new pads and discs. If you don't do a huge amount of miles that combined with the lack of lubrication from the factory will mean that the pads may wear quickly. 45 quid for parts and the same again for labour.
