Thanks. I pretty much redline the 500 everyday in order to make progress
That said, I have no idea about the hesitant car.. Cux it can react normally one minute and be a little dead the other.. I'm thinking about the fly-by-wire thingy?
I once had a very hesitant MX5 that got resolved with a new set of NGK leads. It's surprising how leads can deteriorate. I did look for performance leads for the 500 but I was unable to source them. Replacement leads (they will be expensive) have to be got currently off Fiat. Not too sure if the heat in HK is a factor.
I did change the spark plugs to iridium. A sensible guy would just buy the standard NGK plugs but me being a bit of sucker bought the best I could get (click here). I Still bought the cheaper of the range - there's another one that is even dearer . On the US spec iridium is going to become the 'standard' issue but they wouldn't be using Denso.
Another guy on here is not really a fan of the 'drive-by-wire' and leaves the Sport button off (Jnoiles). So it could just be done to the differences between the 500 and other mechanical setups.
P.S. This is the link for DIY re-maps.
