I was chatting to the salesman on the phone about the order for my Lounge, when he asked if I'd like to come in and check out the colour.
Now I haven't seen this colour in the metal, so you betcha I would! This was on a POP destined for the showroom.
I would call it Midnight Blue myself....What do you think?

Whoops! forgot to resize the image, sorry folks

hard to see the colour clearly with the way the light and shade is in the photo, but looks different if nothing else. i love blue but personally dont think the colour suits the 500 that well.

I really have to disagree on the above comments, as an owner of a New Orleans Blue 500 I can say that the colour suits the car very well, I have not seen another car in the flesh the same colour. Go and see the car up close and judge for yourself!

hmm mine looks that colour blue, what is the official colour name??

I think engineering500 is aware they are different colours as he made a point of stating that he had NOB. I think his response was aimed more at what gib1970 said in his post (top).

I personally don't think its the best colour for the 500. But then I am not a huge fan of Black on a 500 either.

Thanks to everyone for your comments. Reason I chose Goth Blue is that it won't be common, and hey, It looks better in the metal - wait till you get the chance to see one:)

That reminds me a lot of the older blue (Mod Blue?) and it looks great in the flesh, even better if you add a lot of chrome to it. (y)

If New Orleans Blue had been available when I ordered mine I'd have got it. Everyone rubbishes it but I saw one in the flesh at my dealers when I was down there last and it was stunning. It's a brilliant colour. I think I'd want black ambience though.
