thanks for telling me what I wanted to hear ;)

I'm planning on getting mine under the scrappage deal so for £6700 for a basic pop you just cannot argue.

What do people reckon to the chances of getting the wheels thrown in? particularly if I go for one of the finance schemes? or anyone know any ways to get a good deal?

Thanks in advance.

I'll eat my hat if you get wheels for free. Fiat are already taking a £1k hit on a car they can sell for full price (just look at the threads full of people who've paid full price who are waiting 16 weeks plus) and they don't need to throw in sweeteners to sell the car. You can ask but the salesperson WILL say no.

I don't want to be like that guy who posts pictures of his 500 Abarth whenever he gets the opportunity but here's my car with 16" multispokes and I'm sure you'll agree that they look good :)

The 15" sport wheels are nice too :)

Too Late!

Actually I don't mind you including the picture whenever you feel it is relevant but I wish you resized it so that one could read the post without having to scroll across the screen. :p

:D I am considering just buying another set of genuine alloys off ebay, sometimes cheaper than buying new tyres but storage is always a sore point!
I love the 16" multispokes, would like a set of 15" just to compare the ride comfort and maybe for winter

I've got a set of 4 wheels nicely repainted in black with some genuine hubcaps now :) It's pissing my wife off no end and I really should put them in the shed now!

Just find some cheap 14" steelies. Mine were something like £30 for the wheels and another £30 for the hubcaps. A bit of paint and they're absolutely fine to use. I would go with 14" wheels anyway because the tyre is narrower which is better for winter and the tyres are cheaper as well.

We've got storage space for the wheels, it's just that I'm too lazy to move them at the moment :p

Where did you get the wheels from? Is the fitment same as a panda/grande punto? Presume need new bolts
Ebay. You're looking for a set of 4 14" or 15" steel wheels which are 4*98 PC and ET35. Grande Punto wheels won't fit but Mk2 Punto wheels will and I suspect they're the same as Mk1 wheels and a lot of other model wheels.

Funny you should mention bolts! I checked last night and compared a bolt from the car with one of the ones which is in the boot which I thought might have just been for the spare wheel and they're exactly the same length. So unless Fiat has supplied me with bolts which aren't suitable for the spare then it should be all good. But I'd check with your dealer just to make sure.

Are the bolts in the boot not just the ones removed from your alloys when they fix the security bolts in place?i.e one per wheel
Come to think of it we had to use the spare wheel and just used the normal bolts fine.

based on that I think it'll be all good. I might do a test fit with one of the rims this weekend though just to be 100% sure.
