Am really keen to order a goth metal blue 500C, but don't feel I can until I know what the colour really looks like! The configurator colour looks good, but given the beige convertible roof looks white on the screen, I don't think it's that reliable!

Have asked Fiat UK but no-one seems to know. Surely there must be a prototype in the world in goth metal blue that Fiat could photograph and put on line???

Anyone seen one and can tell me what it is like? Is it like Jive Blue (cool) or Mod Blue (nice) or New Orleans Blue (ugh)?

Help needed!!

I don't completely trust the configurator either. It would be helpful if the dealers had samples of the colours for both body and roof in the showroom so we could see exactly what they look like in reality. Can't believe they haven't been given any (have asked a couple of them)!

This is one of the reasons I have stuck to red with black roof as at least I know what red to expect from the existing 500 hatchbacks. I quite liked the look of Goth Metal Blue but can understand your worry incase it is completely different in reality.

I hope this isnt the Ivory hood... cos its 'orrible!

Yeh, tried the swatch idea thanks - neither of the two Fiat dealerships I've been to have it. I even went to the launch party of the 500C at the flagship store in Marylebone, but they didn't know either - even the ones from Italy hadn't seen it!!

I just can't believe the Fiat can launch a car and take orders but not actually show customers what the car looks like!:yuck::(

Totally agree. Can't believe the dealers have not been given samples of the paint colours and roof fabric so that people can actually see what they will be getting!

I am most interested to see the red and ivory roof as they vary in colour in photos and on configurator etc. I rang one dealer about whether he had a sample of the ivory roof and was told it would be same colour as an ivory ambience steering wheel:confused: To be honest I don't think he had a clue either!

I've seen both roofs in the flesh, and i would describe the "ivory" one as beige. The photo of the red convertible with the roof down earlier in this thread is a pretty accurate depiction of it.

The red roof is pretty much like the configurator actually - it is a really good deep wine red colour - v nice. I think it looks awful on the red car, as it clashes and is a different shade and richness, but it does look fabulous on white. I can't really think of many other colours it would look good with though - maybe with goth metal blue, but who knows, as I don't know what that colour looks like!

Which brings me back to my original question......!!!!

Moffit... found it!
Look on the fiat italy website. Hopefully this link should work...

The colours on their configurator look more like photos of the car as opposed to the UK's CGI. You can also spin the car 360 degrees. Well, you can spin the image -unless you're quite strong!

Anyway, it might give you more of an idea.

.... Although the difference in the colour of the ivory roof on both configurators is somewhat disconcerting.

Thanks for posting the link. Had fun playing about with the colours etc and quite different to the UK site - the 3 'grey' colour options look totally different on the Italian site to the UK one. One grey looks slightly blue (to me anyway), another looks slightly brown like the old Punk Grey(?) - both were quite stunning if that is how they will look in real life, especially with the red roof. Wish I had been a bit more adventurous than Pasodoble Red with black interior/roof but just so hard without having been able to see the cars. Still if I can't wait then playing safe is the trade off I suppose.

Thanks Danger Girl! Just used your link, and if that really is the goth metal blue, then don't think I'll go for it - bit boring, more a navy blue. And the Italian configurator does show the ivory roof as beige, which is what it looks like in real life, so maybe that means all the colours on that site are accurate.
:(

Hello everyone! I'm just about to take the plunge and buy a new Panda and I'm also taken with this colour. (I'm assuming the Italian "blue bastian contrario" is the same as the UK "goth-metal blue" - anyone know for sure?). But, as others have said, the UK configurator is rubbish.

I've written to Fiat for more info, but heard nothing and I need to decide for sure on the colour asap, so I'm getting a bit panicky. The colour also looks different on different computer screens. On mine it most approximates the Prussian Blue on Wikipedia's Shades_of_blue chart.

(Argh! I'm apparently not allowed to post URLs until I've made 5 posts, so google: shades of blue colour - no quotes - and it should be the first link.)

Has anyone seen this Fiat colour in the flesh? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!
